This is an ad-hoc Surname Study Group that grew out of independent efforts of the three founders. See our History page for more information on who we are, the group history and contact information.
Registration in this Wiki is only needed if you are editing pages as part of a study. Registration on this wiki site is limited to project members that are either DNA tested or have a published, established research into a surname line of of interest here. SPAM registrations are simply discarded and their IP and other info banned from future access. Joining our traditional FTDNA projects are restricted to yDNA testers who match a member, have the surname or in specific support to the surname study. If you just have general questions about an ancestor with the surname, you can join our membership mailing list or facebook group and ask there. They are the least restrictive and way to start interacting. See our How To Join page for more information on joining the group in various forms.

Site Help for users is available. What is visible to you is dependent on your level of administration on this site and in the group.
This site is based on the TikiWiki software: a full, feature-rich Web Content Management System (CMS). Additional support is provided by Mailman to make the Forums operate as traditional email list groups in addition to web based forums. Finally, we have installed and operate WebTrees software for the management of GEDCom genealogic work. This in addition to existing work others have on a myriad of other sites; Rootsweb WorldConnect Family Trees being one example. Unfortunately, this is not all as integrated seamlessly as we would like. But we operate as best we can and apologize for sometimes logging into different systems; each having its own credentials.
