- yDNA-Warehouse (formerly Haplogroup-R)
An ad-hoc, like most other, Haplogroup determination and phylogenetic tree development activity. Significant is that they have moved away from their FTDNA project root / start and now collect BAM Sequencing yDNA file submissions to form a repository and independent analysis of them. They provide access to the database for other researchers via an API as needed. This partly grew out of the need to move beyond VCF files by Alex Williamson's ytree effort and needing the technology to capture and store the files; for possible reworking results to new, later Genome Build models down the road.
This was originally the Haplogroup-R project and focused solely on that branch of the overall tree.
This is not to be confused with the Haplogroup pages within the yDNA Groupings used to categorize sub-groups there.
